Hello friends! Welcome to my lifestyle and business blog! I created this blog in order to help me improve my own business, find some clarity in entrepreneurship, and occasionally vent about life ?

My name is Holly, and I live in Florida with my husband, our daughter, one dog, and a few fish.

I am a thirty-something business owner who never really followed the direct path that I was taught growing up. What do I mean?

Examples:

Graduate high school, go to college and get your degree, then focus on career. My path was slightly altered… I graduated high school with honors and three offers to big name state schools here in Florida, but I chose to enroll at USF (you stay forever) since it was close to home. I went in as a Freshman with 18 credit hours, a scholarship, and a pre-determined major in Business Administration. Eighteen months later I had lost my scholarship, got in a fight about it with my dad, and found myself looking for a job to help offset these college expenses. Fast-forward 7 years, 167 credit hours, 3 jobs, 8 majors, 2 apartments, 2 houses, 1 marriage,  and 1 divorce – I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Find a man, marry him, start a family. My path didn’t quite look like that… I married my high-school sweetheart at the ripe old age of 20. Quickly realized I made a mistake, and was divorced by 24. By 27 I had fallen in love with my best friend (who I happened to be in business with) and after a few years dating, we moved in together. Neither of us thought we wanted kids, so we opted to “shack up” instead of getting married. Well… then in 2010 I got pregnant (on the pill no less!). As a result, we had a beautiful unplanned baby in 2011 and then got married in 2013.

So my life has been far from perfect, certainly not a storybook!! But, I have learned so many life lessons on the way and that is why I started writing. My hope is that my blog posts will inspire something in you, whether it be some business tips I write about or a lifestyle post I share about my experiences!
